Chicago after Shan-Lung hit.

Chicago Monster Attack of 2010 is a disaster that took place on May 16th, 2010. It is the beginning of the rebirth of all the creatures thought to be destroyed during the medival days. In this event, a Lao Shan-Lung attacked the city of Chicago. It went to rampage through one more city until it was nuked by the Air Force, finally killing it. The attack cost 540,000 lives.

History[]

Prior to the creature's appearance, traffic in the city was heavily backed up. It was a Saturday afternoon at rush hour, so a lot citizens were doing activites around the city. However, at approximately 5:24 PM, the attack began when Shan Lung rose up at the Chicago Navy Pier. The beast leveled the boardwalk attraction, destroying it and killing nearly everyone on it.

Only 10 minutes later, news reports began going out about the beast's ongoing attack. The Shan Lung began its rampage through the downtown area, tearing down several skyscrapers. People tried to flee from the falling debris and the monster's footsteps, but debris was falling too fast and many lives were lost. As the monster smashed its way through the city, just leveling the Willis Tower, the Air Force finally arrived to try and bring the beast down. But, their firepower did nothing to it. It only made it angrier. The creature smashed several jets out of the sky and continued its onslaught. It would proceed tear a path of destruction through several towns and cities until it reached Milwauke, Wisconsin.

With troops, tanks, heavy artillery, and jets trying to kill the Shan-Lung, they were unable to succeed in stopping it. It was then that the Air Force finally decided to drop a nuclear warhead on it.

The nuke exploded on the monster, finally ending its rampage and killing it. But, it came at the cost of Milwauke and the surrounding area.


Aftermath[]

Humanity was stunned by the devastating attack by the Shan-Lung. The attack destroyed several towns, and the cities of Chicago and Miluwake. The damage tally was worse than any disasters of recent times. 540,000 lives were lost.

This was the first attack in the rebirth of all monsters which were thought to have been all wiped out by the people in medieval times. More monsters began emerging and attacking, wanting revenge on all their brethren being slaughtered. 

Could humanity and monsters find a way to co-exist.
