The Acidic Agnaktor is a subspecies of Agnaktor introduced in Monster Hunter Alpha Dos.

Physiology

Acidic Agnaktor cannot harden their armor, so instead they adapted to make it dull the attackers teeth and claws. They lose some acid by digging, but not much. They regenerate acid by eating food, which is digested, creating an acidic compound that is pumped to a storage chamber that pushes the acid out through the Agnaktor's pores.

Behavior

When these Agnaktor get hungry, they eat acidic mushrooms found in areas 5 (Sandstorm Pass) and 7 (Molten Ledge). This creates more acid if they lose any. When enraged, they will shake off the acid and if you are using a Jade element weapon, he will take hits and let you build him crystal armor, and if you use a lavablight weapon, he will revert to his red cousin's roots. When weak, it will limp away from battle.
